After working for over years in a top business organization, I decided to pursue a MBA degree. I had a fair understanding of the business complexities, but I was intrigued to learn more about it; right from the inside out. After some introspection, I was quizzed upon a thought, how long it might take to recoup the cost of an MBA program?
I had a number of reasons to do an MBA, but being able to progress in my career and recovering the ROI (Return on Investment) is certainly part of that decision.
Warren Buffett once said,“The single best investment you could ever make is in yourself”
So, I decided to invest in myself. I enrolled at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad (SIBM-H).
Here’s how the experience changed me…
Fulfilling Business Knowledge Expectations:
Each student wishes to gain a world-class education and I was no different. Our MBA classes were often characterised by classroom discussions, which added enthusiasm to learning. Some of the events I fondly remember are the industrial visit to PEPSICO, webinar by Dr. Marie-Line Germain, and so on.
The Right B-School:
Since 2008, SIBM-H has an incredible spark of perfection. This spark which turned into a roaring flame, has helped me significantly. At the institute, we were trained to identify & solve problems by seeing a big picture and asking the right questions. So, if you think why SIBM-H, I’ll say, why not SIBM-H? Hear what my fellow batch mates have to say.
Another reason for choosing SIBM-H is its reigning reputation. The University is ranked 247th amongst the top 250 Universities in Asia by QS World Ranking Agency and is ranked among one of the top most Universities in the country! Enrolling at SIBM-H was life-changing. The range of backgrounds and experience at the university is stimulating, their enthusiasm is exciting.
Investing in You with the MBA Experience:
MBA will indefinitely contribute to a higher salary, more employment options, and greater value as an employee, as I am experiencing it. You’ll also be exposed to a plethora of networking options [such as CMO (Chief Marketing Officers) Summit], as well as resources. Bigwig corporations, namely, KPMG, Reliance, Tech mahindra, Ogilvy & Mather, Ford and many others, trust Symbian’s and their talent (as we’re fondly called).
To sum up,
Enrolling in an MBA at SIBM-H has given me a chance to get out of my own sheltered bubble and learn about what really goes on in other parts of the world through my professors and classmates.
So was the experience worth it?
I’ve successfully achieved my goals! It’s one of the best decisions I have ever made.
