First Impressions: Highlights of Induction Week for Batch 2024-26

There is a common saying that, “First impression is your last impression” and here at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad, a magnificent first impression had been put up for their MBA Batch of 2024-26 that will last a lifetime. In this blog I will be sharing some highlights about the insightful week.

Our MBA Induction program commenced on the 10th of June till 17th June, 2024. It was a splendid event that started with the Director addressing us with an inspiring speech followed by the Deputy Director and other notable members of the management. The entire arrangement was executed by our senior batch that included fun filled activity sessions, interactive and informative guest lectures and in evening we had an array of events conducted by our very own clubs and committees. One particularly memorable event was where a treasure hunt game was organised as it was a great way to familiarize ourselves to every nook and corner of the entire campus. The excitement was palpable as all the new aspirants gathered in front of the auditorium each day for the respective set of events scheduled. Overall, the week kept us quite engaged. Then we might not have realised the significance behind the arrangement of such a busy schedule, but later realised that, because of those engagements we were not remembering and missing our homes and also acted as an ice breaking session among us batchmates before we started with the actual session. To ease the transition into academic life, the institute also organized several workshops focused on essential skills that would be valuable throughout our academic journey. As induction week came to a closure, there was a positive walkaway with a sense of excitement and anticipation for our journey ahead.

Concluding, the induction week at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad was simply not just about orientation programs and presentations. There was much more value addition to it in the form of guest lectures and activities – overall an unforgettable initiation into the vibrant community which is going to be our home for the next two years.

  1. My initial induction experience was positive, marked by a friendly atmosphere that made it easy to connect with others.

  2. The Student Induction Programme should be designed for the new students to help them feel comfortable, draw their attention towards exploring their academic interests and activities, reducing competition and making them work for excellence, promote bonding within them, build relations between teachers and students.
