The Halloween celebrations at SIBM Hyderabad unfolded on a pleasant October evening, instantly transforming the amphitheatre into a lively and spirited carnival. The event, themed “Creepy Carnival,” drew a much larger crowd than expected, with students gathering in high spirits to enjoy the festive atmosphere and participate in the series of exciting games planned
for the night. Laughter, anticipation, and friendly competition filled the air as everyone embraced the playful, spooky energy of Halloween.
One of the main attractions of the evening was the classic “Trick or Treat” game. Participants were invited to select from red and black balloons, each containing a hidden chit that revealed either a playful dare or a sweet surprise. Those who picked a “trick” bravely performed fun dares that entertained the crowd, while the lucky “treat” recipients walked away with chocolates or chips. The simplicity and unpredictability of the game made it an instant crowd favorite and set the tone for the evening’s lighthearted fun.
Another exciting challenge was “Eye Catchy,” a fast-paced and engaging activity where participants had to scoop out as many orbeez balls as they could from a bowl of water using only a spoon. Each round brought out bursts of cheering, as students competed enthusiastically, showcasing their focus, speed, and a touch of Halloween luck. The rhythmic energy of this game kept everyone glued to the action, making it an enjoyable watch for participants and spectators alike.
The final and perhaps most thrilling event of the evening was the Treasure Hunt, a campus-wide adventure that had teams racing across the grounds in search of clues. With five teams navigating colored chits, hints, and cleverly designed puzzles, the competition quickly became the highlight of the night. Participants sprinted, strategized, and worked together to decode each clue and move closer to the mystery’s finale. The excitement reached its peak when the winning team proudly claimed their hamper, a rewarding end to an adrenaline-filled challenge.
As the evening drew to a close, the Deputy Head of Mélange delivered a warm and heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the participants, coordinators, and everyone who contributed to making the Halloween event a memorable success. The night ended with joyful smiles, shared memories, and the spirit of celebration lingering in the air, marking yet another delightful moment in the campus’s vibrant student life.
