We celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav this Independence Day with a similar feeling of patriotism. To show unity and love for the nation and pay tribute to the martyrdom of our great leaders and brave soldiers who laid their lives to give us this precious freedom we enjoy today, the student body here at Symbiosis – Hyderabad, organized a wholesome event commemorating this milestone year for India’s independence.
The day started with a Prabhat Pheri around the campus. After the end of the procession, we went ahead with the flag hoisting ceremony and a chorus of the National Anthem, which filled all our eyes and hearts with a spirit of nationalism. We were then addressed by esteemed dignitaries who enlightened us with their words of wisdom, followed by mesmerizing performances by students of both SLS and SIBM, Hyderabad.
A “Wall of Patriotism,” as we called it, was made, adorned by the portraits of the great leaders of our freedom struggle, which was also used as a photo wall. By the end of the ceremony, our hearts were full of pride and looking forward to a year of abundance and prosperity.
