This semester at SIBM Hyderabad has been an engaging and fast-paced journey, with each week bringing new activities, learning experiences, and opportunities for involvement. Even as the semester continues, the events so far have already shaped my understanding of teamwork, leadership, and campus culture.
The first major event of the semester was the Jr vs Sr football match, which set an energetic tone for what followed. The match created an atmosphere of friendly rivalry and brought both batches together through collective cheering, competition, and sportsmanship. It was one of those moments where the entire campus felt connected.
Soon after, the Sports and Wellness Committee hosted the cricket tournament under Dauntless. The auction was a highlight in itself full of strategy, excitement, and enthusiastic bidding. It was fascinating to watch teams form so dynamically. The match that followed was equally intense, keeping everyone invested until the very last overs.
The momentum continued with the Foundation Week, which was unique because it involved both students and staff and faculty. Staff and faculty members took part enthusiastically in Action Ball, while students competed in Throwball. Watching everyone participate beyond their usual roles added a sense of warmth and inclusivity to the event. It served as a reminder that campus life is built not just on academics but also on shared experiences.
The academic spirit of the semester came alive during Nirmaan, our academic week. With four competitions — one live case study and three business plan contests — the campus buzzed with discussions, presentations, and collaborative brainstorming. Students from other colleges participated as well, which raised the competitive intensity. Seeing SIBM win the majority of events and the corresponding cash prizes was a proud moment for all of us and reflected the strong academic culture within the institute.
Being part of this still-unfolding semester has pushed me to stay engaged, manage multiple responsibilities, and learn from every interaction. Each event has offered a new perspective on collaboration, problem-solving, and campus dynamics. With more to come, I’m looking forward to continuing this journey of growth and involvement.
