As we all know, India is known for its various languages, religions, values, and customs, and so is SIBM Hyderabad. SIBM Hyderabad reflects this diversity. Before I arrived here, I was nervous about what life would be like and who I would meet. I wondered about the different states the students would come from and how culturally varied SIBM Hyderabad would be. I was very excited.
When I got to campus and began meeting people, I was amazed to see students from all over the country. It’s a special experience to learn about different religions directly from my classmates. Even though our lifestyles and traditions may differ, I’ve noticed that many customs are quite similar across cultures, even if they have different names. Our thoughts and opinions might vary, but we always find a way to understand each other and work through our differences smoothly. This environment helps us solve problems and build strong connections. It prepares us to easily connect with people from different backgrounds in the corporate world.
One of the highlights at SIBM Hyderabad is Ethnic Day, where students wear traditional clothes and represent their states and religions. The day includes various dance performances, songs, and languages, creating a feeling of unity and belonging. Celebrating festivals like Diwali and Christmas on campus brings us together and helps us appreciate our country’s rich cultural mix.
Being at SIBM Hyderabad has shown me the beauty and strength of cultural diversity. It not only prepares us for success in our careers but also helps us become balanced individuals who can thrive in a global community. Accepting and learning from our differences makes SIBM Hyderabad experience truly special and rewarding.
