My Experience at SIBM Hyderabad

For a long time, I dreamt of studying in a B-school. Every academic and personal decision I made was with this goal in mind. So, when I received my admission into SIBM Hyderabad, I was more than delighted—it felt like a platform where I could finally begin turning those dreams into reality.

Stepping into my hostel for the first time was a bittersweet moment. I carried excitement for what lay ahead, but also a heavy heart as I left my family behind. Having grown up in a joint family, I was always surrounded by people, conversations, and togetherness. That upbringing not only shaped me but also taught me the art of adapting and adjusting. These very skills became my anchors as I began navigating my first few weeks here.

The induction week was my first real taste of the MBA journey. It was intense, pressurizing, and kept me constantly on my toes. Hectic is the word that best describes it, but it also gave me a clear glimpse of what lay ahead. Amidst the long schedules and continuous activities, I realized that this experience was preparing me for the pace and demands of the MBA life.

Over these months, I have had the opportunity to engage in a range of events—both corporate and cultural. Each has added its own value to my journey, and it is this balance that has kept me grounded. Corporate interactions helped me step into a more professional space, while cultural events brought energy, warmth, and a sense of belonging to campus life.

The hostel culture has been another defining part of my experience. Living with a diverse set of people has been truly enriching. Every interaction has given me a new perspective, allowing me to see the world through different lenses. The warmth and helpfulness of my peers have made this transition smoother, turning the hostel into a second home.

Looking back, I can see how much these few months have shaped my personality. I feel more confident, adaptable, and open to experiences than I was when I first walked in. This journey has already given me so much to learn, and I am eager and excited to discover what lies ahead.
