Starting my MBA journey at SIBM Hyderabad has been a wonderful experience so far not only because of the academic rigour but also for the diversity that the college offers.
Walking through the campus, I realised that students came from almost every corner of India, each bringing a unique blend of cultural, academic, and professional backgrounds with a significant number of female students on campus, promoting gender equality and creating an inclusive environment for all.
One personal highlight of this journey has been sharing a room with someone from a completely different background. My roommate is from Kerala, while I am from Haryana. It has allowed me to experience another culture’s traditions, language, and cuisine. We’ve spent countless no of hours exchanging stories about our hometowns, learning about each other’s lifestyles, and building a strong bond of friendship despite regional differences.
Adapting to such a diverse environment has been both difficult and satisfying. It has pushed me to come out of my comfort zone and consider different viewpoints. This adaptability is a crucial skill needed in the business world, where change is the only constant.
My peers include those with backgrounds in science, engineering, commerce, humanities and many other streams. Engaging in discussions with classmates having different viewpoints and methodologies has helped in tackling problems from different angles providing a comprehensive perspective on challenges. Therefore, I have realised that peers with a blend of different cultural experiences and academic backgrounds play a crucial role in personal and professional growth.
This journey is not just about earning a degree; it’s about evolving as an individual and a professional and i feel it is the right place for the same.
