When I joined Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Hyderabad in June for my MBA first year, I knew I was entering a world of new opportunities. But nothing quite prepared me for the rollercoaster of emotions, experiences, and lessons that the first three months would bring. The campus, the people, and the atmosphere of learning combined to make every day feel like a fresh adventure.
The induction week was an incredible introduction to the world of management education and campus life. From interactive sessions with seniors to ice breaking activities, the week was designed to help us transition smoothly from college to business school life. The campus tour showed us the sprawling green lawns, modern classrooms, and multiple facilities, giving a sneak peek into life at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Hyderabad. Motivational speakers shared insights on leadership, career planning, and personal development, making us all eager to dive into the semester.
But what truly made the experience unforgettable were the friendships. I remember my first day – a mix of excitement and nervousness – as I met my batchmates. In a matter of days, these strangers turned into companions who made every lecture, group assignment, and mess meal more enjoyable. We shared our ambitions, swapped tips on how to survive the MBA grind, and supported each other through academic and personal challenges.
Hostel life was another adventure altogether. Living in a shared space taught me a lot about time management, adaptability, and responsibility. The mess food became a staple topic for both humor and occasional complaints. Some days were surprisingly good, while others were downright hilarious disasters. But irrespective of taste, the shared experience of queuing up for meals, swapping stories, and comparing our “mess ratings” bonded us further.
Daily classes were intense but incredibly engaging. The professors were not only experts in their fields but also genuinely invested in our growth. Classes weren’t just about theory; they were lively discussions, case analyses, and practical applications. Every subject brought something new to the table—whether it was strategic management, organizational behavior, or financial accounting. I felt my perspective on business and leadership expanding every single day.
An unexpected highlight of my journey so far has been joining the Literary Committee. I never anticipated how much I’d enjoy writing, organizing events, and engaging in literary discussions. The committee gave me a platform to express creativity, interact with diverse talents, and learn event management hands on. The sense of accomplishment when organizing a successful literary event or publishing an article was beyond words. It made me realize that an MBA is not just about numbers and case studies, but also about nurturing diverse skills.
Every day at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Hyderabad has been a learning experience – from understanding business concepts to making lifelong friendships. The combination of academic rigor, cultural diversity, and vibrant campus life makes Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Hyderabad a melting pot of ideas and experiences. These first few months have not only equipped me with knowledge but also with resilience, adaptability, and a sense of belonging to something bigger.
As I continue this journey, I am more excited than ever to face new challenges, learn from my peers and professors, and evolve into a capable leader ready to make an impact in the business world.
