A Semester of Firsts: My Journey of Adjusting, Trying, and Growing at SIBM Hyderabad

My first semester at SIBM Hyderabad honestly felt like stepping into a completely different world. Everything was new like the campus, the people, the routine, the energy. At first, it was overwhelming, but there was also this excitement in not knowing what was coming next. Slowly, the chaos started feeling familiar, and I found myself settling into the rhythm of MBA life.

One of the biggest surprises of the semester was trying anchoring for the first time. I wasn’t sure how it would go, I just wanted to push myself a little. Standing in front of everyone with a mic was terrifying at first, but also strangely fun. That one moment taught me more about confidence than any classroom lecture ever could.

Semester 1 also showed me what “balancing multiple things” truly means. Classes, assignments, meetings, group work, preparation for presentations, everything happens simultaneously here. There were days when I genuinely wondered how I’d manage it all, but somehow I did. Somewhere along the way, I learned how to prioritize, how to stay calm, and how to keep moving even when everything felt too much.

When I look back now, the first semester wasn’t just about academics. It was about discovering my strengths, adjusting to a new environment, and realizing that I’m capable of handling more than I ever thought. It was messy, challenging, memorable, and honestly, one of the most growth-filled periods of my life.
