Belonging, Becoming, and Everything In Between

When I first stepped into SIBM Hyderabad, everything felt new—exciting, overwhelming, and a little mysterious. Back then, choosing a specialization felt like a distant decision meant for a much wiser, much more settled version of me.

But somewhere between the lectures, committee work, events, and endless conversations with people who slowly started feeling familiar, the answer shaped itself quietly. HR didn’t arrive in my life with a grand revelation—it slipped in gently, like something that was always meant to be. And just when I thought I had understood myself a little better, reality hit in the form of the SIP grind.

The hunt for a summer internship wasn’t just a process—it was a journey inside a journey. The applications.

The resumes.

The shortlists that felt like small wins.

The rejections that stung for a minute and then pushed me forward.

The interviews that demanded clarity, confidence, and calm, all at the same time. It was exhausting, stressful, and honestly… transformative.

Because SIP season doesn’t just test your knowledge — it tests your patience, your resilience, and how much you believe in yourself when things get unpredictable.

But in those weeks — the long nights, the interview prep sessions with friends, the mock questions, the nervous waiting — something amazing happened. I realised how much I valued the HR domain, how naturally I connected with it, and how clearly it aligned with the person I was becoming.

And this entire process, as chaotic as it was, made SIBM Hyderabad feel even more like home. Not because it got easier, but because I had people beside me who made the tough days feel lighter, who cheered for me, calmed me down, and reminded me that I was on the right track.

Somewhere along the way, the campus stopped being just a place where I studied — it became a place where I grew, struggled, laughed, learned, and found a sense of belonging I didn’t expect to find so soon.

Choosing HR felt natural.

The SIP grind made me stronger.

And SIBM Hyderabad gave me a home to grow through it all.

I’m still learning, still evolving, still figuring things out — but now, I’m doing it with a sense of clarity and comfort I didn’t have at the beginning.

And that’s the beauty of this journey.

You don’t arrive at your destination in one big leap. You grow into it — little by little, moment by moment.
