Celebrating Culture and Creativity: Ethnic Day at SIBM Hyderabad

Ethnic Day at SIBM Hyderabad was a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, and collective spirit. The campus came alive with colors, traditional attire, and an atmosphere of joy as students proudly showcased India’s rich cultural diversity. Being a part of Antardhwani, the Cultural Committee, made the experience even more special and memorable for me.

As members of Antardhwani, we had the opportunity to contribute actively to the celebrations through a drama performance curated specifically for Ethnic Day. The preparation process itself was a rewarding journey. From conceptualizing the storyline to rehearsing dialogues, expressions, and stage movements, every step required teamwork, coordination, and creative thinking. The drama aimed to highlight cultural values and social themes, resonating strongly with the spirit of the day.

On the day of the performance, the energy backstage was a mix of excitement and nervous anticipation. As the curtains rose, the audience’s enthusiastic response motivated us to give our best on stage. The applause and appreciation we received were incredibly fulfilling and made all the effort worthwhile. Performing in front of peers and faculty strengthened our confidence and reinforced the power of storytelling as a medium of expression.

Beyond the performance, Ethnic Day fostered a sense of unity and belonging across the campus. Students, dressed in traditional outfits from different regions, interacted, clicked pictures, and celebrated together, creating an inclusive and festive environment. The event

beautifully showcased how cultural celebrations can bring people closer and create lasting memories.

Being part of Ethnic Day as a performer and cultural committee member allowed me to experience campus life beyond academics. It reinforced the importance of creativity, collaboration, and cultural appreciation in holistic development. The event was not just a celebration of tradition, but also a reminder of how shared experiences shape our journey at SIBM Hyderabad.
