MBA life at SIBM Hyderabad has been a journey full of experiences that extend far beyond the classroom. One of my earliest milestones was being selected into my dream committee—InkSleuths. It gave me the opportunity to be part of a creative and dynamic team and marked the beginning of my active participation in campus life.
The next big highlight was SymbiTalks, the first corporate event for our batch. Though I wasn’t anchoring the event, being chosen for it was an achievement in itself. What made the experience truly memorable was the backstage involvement—coordinating with the team, managing last-minute arrangements, and ensuring everything went smoothly. The anticipation we all shared as the event unfolded taught me the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and staying calm under pressure.
Later, I had the chance to try informal anchoring during another event. Unlike formal sessions, this required spontaneity and quick thinking—something I had never been comfortable with. With encouragement and guidance from seniors, I gradually found my footing and learned to engage with the audience in a more relaxed and confident way.
Volunteering for Mantrana, an event organized by the Human Resource Club, was another significant moment. Since HR is the field I aspire to pursue, being part of this initiative was deeply fulfilling. It gave me a chance to align my passion with practice and reinforced my interest in the domain.
Looking back, each activity-whether it was working with InkSleuths, coordinating backstage during SymbiTalks, stepping out of my comfort zone in anchoring, or volunteering for Mantrana-has added to my growth. These experiences have not only built my confidence but also given me memories that will stay with me long after my MBA journey ends. For me life here is as much about these opportunities as it is about academic.
