Learning Through Engagement: My Ongoing Journey at SIBM Hyderabad

As the semester progresses at SIBM Hyderabad, I’m starting to appreciate how much learning takes place outside traditional classroom settings. The events and initiatives so far have created an environment where academic growth and co-curricular involvement complement each other seamlessly.

The semester began with the Jr vs Sr football match, which immediately brought excitement to campus life. The energy on the field and the enthusiasm from students watching from the sidelines made it a memorable start. It also set the stage for more sports-driven engagement.

Following this, the cricket tournament under Dauntless took over the spotlight. The auction was one of the most engaging parts of the event — strategic, competitive, and genuinely fun to witness. Once the teams were set, the match drew significant attention, with students invested in every run and wicket. It showcased how sports can bring out teamwork and leadership in a spontaneous yet powerful way.

The Foundation Cup was another standout moment because it included both staff and students. Watching staff members play Action Ball with such enthusiasm and seeing students compete in Throwball created a sense of community that went beyond regular academic interactions. It was refreshing to see everyone participate together.

On the academic front, Nirmaan added depth to the semester. With a live case study and three different business plan competitions, the week challenged students to think critically, work collaboratively, and present ideas confidently. Participation from other colleges made the contests more dynamic. SIBM securing the majority of the wins and cash prizes reinforced the institute’s focus on practical learning and strong intellectual preparation.

Being in the middle of this semester, I’m learning to balance academics with active participation. Every event — whether it’s a sports match, an academic competition, or a collaborative initiative — has contributed to my growth. I’m becoming more adaptable, more organized, and more aware of how different experiences shape professional competencies.

With the semester still unfolding, I’m eager to continue learning, participating, and exploring everything that comes my way.
