My internship journey at Jio Hyderabad has been an incredibly enriching experience. As an
HR intern under the Talent Management function, I have been actively involved in employee
engagement initiatives, understanding the employee lifecycle, and observing HR operations
closely. This role has provided me with valuable insights into the responsibilities of HR
Business Partners (HRBPs) and the intricacies of employee-centric processes.
One of the most fulfilling experiences during my internship was organizing a special session
for International Mother Earth Day. Taking the lead, I reached out to United Way of
Hyderabad and coordinated with their team to arrange a speaker session focused on
sustainability and environmental awareness. The event also included a plantation drive with
employees, aligning perfectly with the theme of the day.
What made this experience truly special was the appreciation I received from my mentor. She
acknowledged the effort and initiative it took to organize an impactful event, especially on a
zero budget, and shared that she sees a strong future for me in Talent Management. Being
recognized for taking ownership and driving an event from scratch as an intern was the most
meaningful compliment I’ve received so far
This internship has shown me that HR is more than just policies and processes—it’s about
creating meaningful experiences, connecting with people, and building a culture that reflects
the company’s values. Every task, from onboarding flows to planning engagement activities,
has helped me build not just professional skills, but also confidence in my own potential.
Jio has provided me a platform to learn, contribute, and grow—and for that, I’m truly
grateful.
