As I stepped into the world beyond the campus gates, my summer internship turned out to be
more than just a corporate checkbox—it became a transformative experience that bridged the
gap between theory and reality.
I had the opportunity to intern with Elemantra Pvt Ltd, which works in the Waste
Management Sector, and right from Day 1, I knew this journey was going to be special. The
nervous excitement of meeting new mentors, navigating professional responsibilities, and
applying classroom knowledge in real-time was both challenging and rewarding.
From attending internal meetings to working on live projects, the internship exposed me to
different facets of the business. It taught me not just about the function, but also the
importance of collaboration, attention to detail, and deadlines.
What made the experience even more enriching was the company culture. My mentor played
a crucial role in shaping my learning. Regular feedback, open conversations, and
brainstorming sessions helped me grow both personally and professionally. I was encouraged
to ask questions, share ideas, and take ownership of my work—something that really boosted
my confidence.
It wasn’t just about the work. Interacting with professionals from diverse backgrounds,
understanding their career journeys, and being a part of a professional ecosystem gave me a
sense of what it takes to thrive in the real world. I also got a glimpse into the behind-the scenes workings of a successful company—from strategy meetings to client interactions,
every moment was a learning experience.
