Lights. Camera. Action!
These are the three magical words that conjure up images of movies. Of course, when we think of movies, we think of glitzy Bollywood. On October 1st, 2022, SIBM-Hyderabad hosted a spectacular Bollywood Night. All the students were encouraged and asked to dress up as their favourite Bollywood characters, participate in Bollywood quizzes and activities, and walk the runway with pomp and style.
As a member of Pratibimb – The Photography Club at SIBM-H, I was given the opportunity to cover the event and capture the best shots of all the stars on the floor and a couple of my favourite characters.
Photographs of crowd participation were shot during the gaming sessions, the event hosts, major highlights, ramp walks, and so on. Being able to catch the audience adjusting to constant changes in stage and auditorium lighting, subjects in the spotlight, crowd attention, and other factors was a fantastic experience.
The event was a huge success, and I’m pleased to have been a part of it. Being a part of Pratibimb taught me that photography is more than just taking photographs we like; it’s also a science that takes our focus, effort, and attention to every aspect.
And it brings enormous satisfaction when the product is flawless, and images always help you return to the time.
